I was anxious to pack up my gear and head out east for Christmas this year to visit my family and to shoot a half a dozen sessions. The thought of working in the snowy weather again excited me, but shooting in an ice storm? Well that was a whole other level of excitement! I had scheduled Krystal and Justin’s photo sesh right smack in the middle of when we were expecting tons of freezing rain and snow. We were in close communication with each other leading up to the shoot, so we could decide whether or not we should go through with our original plan. I had never seen the Durham Region look so beautiful. It was a winter wonderland out there.. I would be out of my mind to reschedule! So we tackled the slippery streets and fallen down trees and set off for an unforgettable session.
We spent the day in Orono where we kicked off the morning capturing some awesome shots with a red, vintage truck and then headed down to the Orono park for some fun. The two of them love hockey so they thought it would be nice to incorporate some of their equipment into the shoot. And of course the day wouldn’t have been complete without snapping some photographs of them with their pup, Dylan!
Only 6 months until you officially tie the knot! I can’t wait!!
