As I sat sipping my tea, chatting with Asia and Greg, aka “Grego”, I realized that we had much more to talk about than just wedding plans here; Asia and I got carried away talking about our goal to become running buddies, and Greg, well he was just the kind of guy my husband, Mike, and I needed at that time. Greg is a proud member of the RCMP and since Mike was on his way of becoming an RCMP officer, I was getting side-tracked, curiously asking Greg all about his experiences as a cop.
I wasn’t the only one caught off guard by Greg’s job….
It all started when both Asia and Greg were living separate lives on the tiny island of Quadra. Greg had relocated all the way from the east coast, pursuing his first posting as an officer and Asia was continuing to be a great mom to her son, Boden. Asia knew the faces of Quadra very well, and when she spotted a tall, handsome hunk dressed in uniform, she began wondering where the heck he had come from…she was sure she’d never seen him before. They immediately hit it off, and it eventually lead to a graceful, intimate wedding at Madrona pointe in Nanoose Bay.
Their vows were professed amongst a few close family members on the rugged coastline, overlooking the rough ocean water. The wind was fierce that day, however it didn’t blow away the love that Greg and Asia shared for one another.
Asia and Grego, I would love to wish you luck and happiness in your marriage, but who are we kidding- you don’t need that from me… You’ve already got it. All you need from me now is your photos… so here you have it! Much love xoxo K
