If there was one couple that wasn’t going to let the rain ruin their parade, it was Ra and Dave. We’ve had a record breaking summer on Vancouver Island…. one with minimal rain. As the weeks went on and the summer became drier and drier, the thought of getting rain on their wedding day was the farthest thing from Ra and Dave’s mind. But it happened. It freaking poured. It didn’t matter though… the big day they had been planning for this past year was finally here. The only thing that rain was going to bring that day was luck, whether they needed it or not.
Mr. & Mrs. Ratcliff, you don’t need luck. You only need each other.

The way the arms in this painting are coming out of the dress is just too perfect.
It was important to Ra that we captured a photo of her and Dave just moments before the ceremony without actually seeing each other. The excitement in the room was overwhelming. Dave would wait to see his bride come walking down the aisle.
I see this moment time and time again; the one of the groom watching his bride approach him down the aisle. Every time it’s different.. every time it’s special.
